Sarah Brown Sarah Brown is a growth catalyst for B2B tech companies. She co-hosts Helping Sells Radio podcast, a technology podcast focused on helping customers discover, adopt and thrive using your software. She is the Director of Marketing at ServiceRocket, which helps fast-growing software companies help their customers get the most out of their software through training, implementation and support.

She also founded Flatirons Tech, a diversity- and inclusion-focused tech meetup based in Boulder, CO. Sarah currently sits on the National Center For Women & Information Technology (NCWIT) Affinity Group Alliance (AGA) representing Flatirons Tech.

We asked Sarah a few questions…

Name a book or blog that changed your life?

Radical Candor by Kim Scott is simply amazing. It really made me re-think how I approach leadership and working with teams.

In 5 words or less, describe what has been most important to your success in your career?

Mentorship and stretch projects.

What are you working on now? OR.. What are you most proud of in your accomplishments so far.

I’m currently Director of Marketing at ServiceRocket, a Palo Alto-based technology company with offices in Australia, Malaysia, and Chile. I also am the Founder of Flatirons LGBTQ Tech Meetup, a tech meetup for LGBTQ techies and allies, which is open to everyone (please join us!)

If you could give your 20-year-old self-advice, what would it be?

Everything you’ve ever wanted is on the other side of the closet.
